Danny felt sick with worry; literally sick. A hand was pressed over his mouth firmly as he stared in shock at the bright screen on his mobile, reading and re-reading the text message he'd received a few moments ago from Sakura.
The room was dark; the only light being the illuminated mobile phone screen, making everything seem even more eerier. It was late. He'd texted Sakura to ask about her head... Well, that had been a day or two ago, but today she'd replied. It had taken him a few texts and a voicemail, but he'd finally managed to get Sakura to tell him what was wrong. 'Ithinkherapedme.' Those words played over in his head again and he bit down hard on his finger. It sounded just like something Ashley would do. Although, he usually reserved that kind of treatment for the people he really, really hated? Danny shuddered.
Did he and Sakura know each other before? It only takes a few seconds to get on Ashley's bad side. And he's not forgiving.. At all. Or maybe in the year they'd been apart, Ashley had gotten more aggressive? Either way, Danny felt sick to his stomach. Why did it have to be Ashley?
Despite his pretty pathetic muscles, if it had been anyone else Danny would have gone out and hunted them down before beating them up in the cruelist way possible. But.. Ashley. Danny didn't dare confront the guy. Yes, he knew he was being a wimp.. But he couldn't help it. He could remember the creepy, twisted expression he'd seen on the guy's face - the last time before he leaved.
Danny gulped. Right now he should be helping Sakura, not wallowing in fear of his half-brother. Quickly he texted back Sakura telling her he'd be right over and jumped to his feet. He was only wearing boxers and a plain black t-shirt.. He hadn't bothered leaving the tour bus since his talk with Zachary that morning. Cursing, he ran around the tour bus until he found his jeans which were lying in a heap on the floor. Pulling them on as he went, he slipped his shoes on and grabbed a hoodie before bolting out of the door.
He yanked his jeans up as he was jogging to the Ticktick Boomboom tour bus and shivered, pulling his hoodie on. It was freakin' freezing out.. And dark. Danny kept glancing over his shoulder in a slightly paranoid way, as if someone, namely Ashley, was going to jump out from behind a bush and attack him. Or something.
Reaching the Ticktick Boomboom tour bus eventually, he knocked a couple of times on the door as a warning, waited a moment and then let himself in. Automatially, his eyes roamed around the room in search of Sakura.
Unable to spot her straight away, he went into panic mode. She hadn't done something stupid, had she? Gulping, he trotted further inside the bus and peeked around. "Sakura?" he called out softly, wondering where the heck she was.

pyjamas!
She was the world's biggest fuck up in life, and everything that life was about. Not only had she gotten drunk on the first day of the tour (or was it second?), and ended up being caught on camera, kissing her best friend in the middle of a fountain, completely pissed out of her head at midday, but she'd also gotten drunk a second time and. Well, fucked up..
After leaving the hotel room with what little dignity, she had left, Sakura Rodriguez had shuffled along to the pathway, back to her tour bus (with great difficulty; Ashley had left her too sore to put into words), and immediately shut herself in the tiny bathroom, where she had had a mini mental breakdown, before hopping into the shower and scrubbing herself. Getting rid of all the traces of Ashley from her tiny body. Everytime she thought of, or heard the name 'Ashley' in her mind, she gave an involuntary shudder and broke out in tears again.
Damn, why did she have to be so fucking stupid?! She was a monumental fuck up and there was no-one in the world that was going to change her mind about that; not Blake, not Danny, and especially not her brother, Alexis. No, her mind was set and she wasn't about to change that.
After showering - using up almost all the soap and shampoo, yeah, she smelled a lot like strawberries now! - Sakura wrapped one of the largest towels around her small frame and moved into the master bedroom area, where all the suitcases were usually kept. It was a good thing that the other band members were out, because she usually took clothes into the bathroom, to change into, but tonight she wasn't thinking straight. Not even the painkillers were going to help with this.
This was one doodle that she couldn't undo.
Changing into a pair of colorless, plaid pyjama bottoms and a grey tank top, Sakura dried her hair and shoved two headbands in her hair because.. well, just because. It wasn't like any of the guys were going to use them.. it would be kind of scary if they did, though. She then put the towel with the others and moved to her bunk so that she could retrieve the Hello Kitty that Danny had brought for her a, uh, birthday present, last year. Her seventeenth.
Curling up on the master bed, the red head picked up her phone and saw that she had an unread text and a voicemail message from Danny. She read the message and replied, then listened to the voicemail and replied, again. He was asking her if she was okay... she could have said 'yes', but with the responses that she was giving him, Danny would know for definite that something was troubling the younger female. They did know each other pretty damn well.
Eventually, the older male got it out of her and texted back saying that he was coming over. Really, she hadn't wanted to worry him, but at the mention of the name 'Ashley' something seemed to trigger a bad reaction in Danny; hence him telling her that he was going to come right over. She didn't want him to, but at the same time she did. Mostly because she was scared and didn't want to be alone right now. Maybe it would be good to have some human company.
No offense, Hello Kitty.
Waiting for Danny to come over was like watching and waiting for grass to grow. It was taking too long, but that was probably just her mind playing tricks on her, because she checked her phone at the same time there was a knock on the tour bus door, and it told her that only three minutes had passed. Then the door opened and someone came in. For one, horrific moment, Sakura thought that it was Ashley, but then the person spoke... Danny. She sighed quietly, with relief.
"In here.." She called out to him, in a whisper. Tears already flowing down her cheeks as she lay curled up on the bed, clutching the Hello Kitty to her chest, staring at the wall. There was no music and no lights, so it would be easy for Danny to follow the sound of her voice, right?

'In here..' At the quiet sound of Sakura's voice, Danny quietly let out a gigantic sigh of relief. For a couple of minutes there, he thought she'd gone and.. Done something stupid. Still, she didn't sound too good. 'Not too good' being the understatement of the year.
It was dark, and he didn't want to turn the lights on because it was late. Anyway.. It wasn't like he'd never been in the Tick tick Boom boom tour bus before - actually, he'd been in here quite a lot before (he often came over when bored/to keep sakura company/to get drunk) so he figured he'd just try to follow the sound of her voice and play it by memory.
Apparently, his memory sucks because he almost faceplanted a wall. Sidestepping, he found the actual door, not the wall, and pushed it open and stepped inside. Squinting, he could make out the outline of the younger girl curled up on the bed. Slowly, he approached her and perched on the edge of the bed.
"How badly hurt are you?" he asked quietly. Asking 'are you hurt?' would have been an extremely, extremely, horrifically stupid question because, well - this was Ashley they were dealing with here. Danny also didn't want to move too close to her, or hug her or anything. He knew that after rape.. Some people sort of curled into themselves and freaked out at physical contact from anyone for the rest of their lives. He hoped to god that Sakura wouldn't be scarred for life - she was strong, at least. He knew she was always very determined, had a lot of willpower.. So hopefully she'd be able to get through this.
His half-brother had raped one of his best friends. Danny felt sick all over again. He probably shouldn't tell Sakura that they were related.. It might freak her out and make her hate him. Although.. They were complete opposites. Personality-wise, anyway. Ashley was spiteful, malicious, cunning and manipulative while.. Danny wasn't. Appearance-wise, they had the same thick hair, but Danny had inherited the brown color from his mother and black eyes from his father, whilst Ash had gotten the black hair from his father and the blue eyes of his mother. And Ash was paler. And stronger.
..Had he just raped her? Obviously Sakura was in a lot of pain (or just traumatized?) - had it been her first time? Or had he just been rough with her? Or was it a mixture of both? He wouldn't put it past Ash.. He was such a fucking sadist. Danny shivered and prayed that he'd done nothing more than rape. That was bad enough..
"What happened?" he asked softly, chewing his lip and remaining unmoving - still not wanting to intrude on her personal space. Vaguely he recognised the plushie she was cuddling to be the Hello Kitty thing he'd gotten her for her birthday.. Last year? but brushed it off. That was unimportant right now.

As she lay on the bed, awaiting the arrival of Daniel, Sakura shifted her position slightly so that she could look down at the inside of the upper part of her left arm - the skin between her shoulder and elbow was red and puffy. Swollen and bruised from the night where As- he (she didn't want to say his name, again), had dug pocket blade into her arm and dragged it up and down her skin, making lines and letters. It had been a painful experience; one that she didn't wish to ever experience again.
Keeping the Hello Kitty in the crook of her right arm, Sakura brought her hand upto her left arm and slowly (and gently) traced the lines that had been dug into her arm; fingers going over the 'NSF', trying to work out what that had meant. He hadn't told her, but he had left her with a thread. And not an empty threat, either. A threat that had made her blood chill as he spoke. His lips had dripped with a venom so spiked that not even Lucifer, himself, could have stood near him.
However, once she heard the door to her tour bus open and shuffling around from recognisable footsteps, Sakura moved her arms back to their original position and lifted her head up from the pillow a little, to see. It was only Danny; the company that she needed more than anything at this moment in time. He had promised her, a long time ago, that he would always be there for her, no matter what happened. The other day and tonight were fine examples of his promise. At least he was a good friend, always there when he said he would be, and she loved him dearly.
How badly hurt are you?
His tone was quiet and soft as he moved through the tour bus and sat himself down on the edge of the bed. Sakura thought that he probably wanted to give her a little space, but she needed some form of contact, even though she knew that it would make her flinch if someone touched her. Mentally, she shrugged at his question and then exhaled slowly, rubbing her eye with a slender finger. How was she going to answer this?
"I-I-I," She started, turning her gaze to the (grey swirls) ceiling, blinking back the stinging tears as she attempted an explanation that didn't make her sound stupid. "...I f-f-feel... broken." Sakura stated this rather bluntly (with pauses between her words). It was accidental, of course, but blunt all the same. But she did feel broken, sore, in every place imaginable. There was no simpler way of putting it than 'broken', at least not in her eyes anyway. Sakura sighed.
What happened?
The red head shuffled into a sitting position, - wincing - leaning against the wall behind her and curling her feet underneath her small frame, still clutching the Hello Kitty in her hands. For some reason it made her feel a little safe; but not as safe as she felt now that Danny was here. Sakura pressed the back of her head against the wall behind her and looked up at the ceiling again. Now she was in an uncomfortable position.
"I-I-I al-already t-t-told... y-you," the red head mumbled, stuttering a little (something that she'd never done before; unless you counted her being drunk). She knew in the back of her mind that she should tell him about the knife incident, but didn't want to find out how he would react. She chewed on her lip for a moment, deliberating.
"What does 'NSF' stand for..?" She asked quietly.

Danny chewed on the inside of his lip as Sakura described herself as 'broken', not really knowing what he could say that would comfort her. He'd never really.. Dealt with situations like this before. And, she was stuttering. That was something he had never heard her do - Sakura was strong-willed. Brave. He admired her sometimes - Danny wasn't the most courageous of people. This further proved how badly shaken up she was from the 'events' of the previous night.
"It'll get better, I promise," Danny settled on saying quietly, glancing over at her face. 'Both physically and mentally' he wanted to add, but decided not to. A generalised statement would be better in this situation he figured.
Feeling the bed shift beneath him, he looked over and saw Sakura moving into a sitting position, now leaning against the wall. Cautiously, he slowly crawled over and sat beside her - closer than he was before, but still not touching her in case it freaked her out. The last thing he wanted to do right now was scare her, he just wanted her to know that Danny was nearby; to give her some sense of security. He leaned his back against the cold wall and crossed his legs, resting his hands in his lap.
I-I-I al-already t-t-told... y-you..' Sakura's reply to his 'what happened?' question. Yeah.. He supposed that she had told him the general part, but Danny had been more concerned with the stuff that she hadn't told him. Was rape the only thing that Ashley had done? Danny found it hard to believe. Depending on.. If Sakura had just laid there and done nothing, he'd have probably left after he was done. However, if she'd tried to get back at him, or done anything that would anger/annoy him, then there was a slim chance of him leaving before his anger was sated. And knowing Sakura.. It wasn't likely that she'd just said nothing to him.
Danny chewed on the end of one of his fingers, trying to think of a way of wording his next question. How to put 'did ashley do anything other than rape you?' into a.. More sensitive sentence? He swallowed, his throat dry, and opened his mouth to speak - when Sakura beat him to it.
'What does 'NSF' stand for?..' Danny blinked, his mind going blank as his brain unwillingly received a barrage of memories he had never wished to think of again. A chill ran up his spine and he resisted the urge to gag. NSF..
Ashley's infamous motto. His half-brother was obsessed with it.. He lived by it. It ruled his life and - to be frank - it scared Danny. There was some truth in it - people who have nothing to lose, nothing to love, are the most dangerous, aren't they? What could possibly be taken from them?
The thought of losing Sakura, or James, or any of his close friends.. It made Danny scared beyond belief. He wouldn't know what to do. NSF ensured that this never happened. Ash was himself, and only himself, whereas Danny was himself.. And all of his friends. All of the people he cared about. If they were hurt, so was he.
Danny shivered again as he remembered back to when he had lived with Ashley for a year. Once, he had gone into his room - the walls were the only things he could remember. NSF had been carved into the plaster over and over and over again until all four walls were covered. He went through an obsession of 'marking' everything (and everyone) with those three letters - claiming that he was 'giving them the most valuable piece of advice they'd ever get'. Did he still have that compulsion? Danny wasn't sure.
...Wait. Sakura. She knew it. Ashley must have told her it.. Which meant.. Oh god. "NSF?" he coughed, stalling for time. What to say? His eyes quickly scanned Sakura's skin for the marking, but couldn't see anything. "It's, er.." he tried to think of how to explain it. It was weird.. Hard to explain. "His motto." Danny opted to keep the explanation simple, and also decided not to say his name, in case it freaked Sakura out again.

Sakura was chewing on the inside of her lip as she watched Danny come into the tour bus and perch on the end of the bed. Part of her just wanted him to hold her, the way he normally did when they were in the cuddling mood, whilst the other part of her wanted him to keep his distance and not do anything drastic that would cause her discomfort, and/or fright. At the moment she wasn't sure that physical contact was a very good idea, for several reasons. Numero uno being the fact that she didn't want it. Numero dos being the fact that it would probably (no doubt) scare her and end up hitting him over the head with something.. hard. And, numero trés being the fact that she was in too much pain, still, at the moment. Not to mention, uncomfortable in several ways.
When Danny told her that it would get better, then promised, Sakura shook her head lightly, sighing quietly and turning her attention to the bed sheets. The pain would get better, yes. But the emotial and mental scarring would still remain, forever in her mind. She had been through too much at the hands of Ashley and knew that it was going to take her a long time before she got over it. Heck, Sakura had her doubts that she was ever going to get over something like this.
She vaguely remembered that Ashley had told her what 'NSF' stood for, but wanted to know if Danny knew, because her memory was stuck on repeat. There was blood, lots of blood. Lines and letters carved into the inside skin of her left arm. Every time she closed her eyes, she could see the blade pierce a new piece of her skin. It made her shiver involuntarily.
Whatever 'NSF' stood for, Sakura knew that it would probably end up haunting her memory, along with the glint of the blade in the dim light of the hotel room - the hotel, not a place she would willingly go back too. Another place she was going to end up with an irrational fear of. That was just so damn fucking wonderful.
As she waited for Danny to answer her, the red head looked down at her left arm, turning it slightly so that she could read the inscription on her arm, just to check that it did say 'NSF' and nothing else. Even though she knew full well what it said. Afterall, he had put it there. It was going to scar and she knew it, which meant that there was no way in hell that she was ever going to forget what happened in the hotel room. Sakura scarred easily...
It's, er... his motto.
Sakura blinked. 'His motto'? Did that meant that Danny knew just who Ashley was? Slowly, she closed her eyes, aware now of the position that Danny was in; sitting next to her, but not at a close proximity. That was good, and bad at the same time. Sakura took the inside of her lip into her teeth again and opened her eyes, looking up at Danny.
"A motto that he believes to be a valueable piece of advice that he gives to everyone?" She asked, her voice strained as she moved her left arm, turning it over so that the inscription Ashley had carved into her arm, was visible to Danny's eyes.
"One that he carves into people's flesh...?"

He saw Sakura shake her head in response to his 'you'll get better' promise, and he shook his head too. "You will. Honestly. Mentally.. May take a bit longer, but it won't last forever," he assured her. "I know you. You're strong. If anyone can do this, it's you," he smiled weakly at her and then went back to staring at the wall on the opposite side of the room. Comforting people.. Never had been his strong point.
After he informed her that it was his 'motto', he realised his mistake once she blinked blankly at him. Shit. He wasn't supposed to even know this guy, and he'd accidentally let it slip that he did in.. Three words. Way to go. And it also seemed a pretty personal thing to know, too. Why couldn't he have slipped up on something that any idiot could know? Like.. Hair colour, for example.
Sakura seemed strained. Frowning, he looked over at her and was about to speak when he noticed that she was attempting to say something. 'A motto that he believes to be a valueable piece of advice that he gives to everyone?'
Oh, god. Please, no.
He shoved his finger into his mouth and gnawed on it painfully, anxiously. 'One that he carves into people's flesh...?'
The inside of Sakura's arm was now facing him, and he visibly flinched, turning his head away as if he'd been slapped. Those god damn awful letters; they haunted him. Another shiver crept up his spine and made Danny shudder. "That's the one," he croaked, throat dry as sandpaper, eyes wandering back over to her arm.
Poor Sakura. A wave of sympathy washed over him and he suddenly had the urge to hug her.. But resisted. That wouldn't be a smart move. Too early for that. She'd probably have to get used to physical contact slowly, gradually...
Danny couldn't help but wonder how she'd escaped from him. Had he just left after carving into her arm? Ash wasn't usually careless.. How had he made sure that Sakura wouldn't blab to people and get him into trouble? Ashley wasn't an idiot.. He knew that much. Even if his sanity was seemingly slipping away. Huh. Had Sakura put up a fight and escaped? That thought frightened Danny to no end, because Ashley never left things unfinished.
"Yes.. He believes it to be advice.." Danny found words again, his eyes frantically glancing around the room but not really seeing anything. "..Do you understand it?" Had Ashley explained it to her, or just sliced the letters into her skin and then left? She had asked him what the initials meant.. But that didn't mean she didn't already know.
"Never show fear," he said quietly, going back to answer her original question. Screw it. If she asked him how he knew so much about Ashley.. He'd think of something to tell her. If she didn't ask then he would say nothing.
Never show fear. Instinctively, he pulled the finger he'd been biting out of his mouth and stared at the palm of his hand; stared at the white, scarred, wonky 'N'. Ash never had liked unnecessary body language - said it gave away too much. Said Danny bit his finger too much. 'Stop biting it or I'll chop it off.' Thankfully he hadn't. He'd just attempted to carve his motto.
He'd been drunk though, and had only got three out of nine slashes done. That had been the night that Danny had left his brother's house.
The memory creeped him out and he started chewing on his finger again, unsure of what to say to Sakura to make her feel better. "You.. Escaped from him?" he asked hesitantly. Yeah.. That wasn't going to make her feel any better, but he needed to know if she'd be expecting another visit from him. Hopefully not. He prayed not.
Danny shot her a smile, reaching an arm out to pat her back and then deciding against it, retreating it quickly.

You will. Honestly. Mentally... May take a bit longer, but it won't last forever, I know you. You're strong. If anyone can do this, it's you.
Sakura began to chew on the inside of her lip as she listened to Danny's words; she knew that he was probably right. She was stronger than most of the people she knew, her brother had told her that a couple of times before. But, she couldn't help but think that she wasn't going to get over this; at least not mentally anyway.
Absently, Sakura looked down at her arm, tracing a slender finger over the initials and the lines, she winced ever so slightly because it was still sore. After asking about the motto, Sakura looked up at Danny and watched how he started to react; his finger was shoved in his mouth and he started to chew on it. What was he so nervous about, Sakura wondered.
Eventually, she showed her arm to Danny and looked up at his face, waiting for his response. It wasn't a very good response; she watched as he flinched and then turned away. Sakura bit down on her lip and moved her arm out his view. He seemed to have ideas on what it meant and maybe who it was done by.
That's the one. Sakura nodded and closed her eyes, letting out a small breath.
Honestly, the red head had no idea why he had actually just let her go after the rape and the bloodshed, not even after she had called him a 'sick son-of-a-bitch, asshole'. She had been sure that he would do something more to her; like after the moment she'd thrown the ash tray at him. However, he had left her without a threat. A threat that was in no way empty. She knew for sure that he would get to her by killing her friends. Afterall; he had hurt her already.
Danny started to talk again, Sakura attempted to listen but she had no idea what he meant by advice - even though Ashley had explained it to her more than once. Her red hair shook as her head moved from side to side, indicating that she didn't understand the advice.
However, when Danny spoke the words that it meant, Sakura swallowed and stiffened. In a weird, sick, twisted kind of way; those three words were frightening.
You.. Escaped from him?
Sakura shook her head, she looked down at the floor and then back up at Danny. "He.. let me go." She whispered, reaching out a hand to Danny, going to take his hand, but then thinking better of it and changing her direction to rub her eyes. "With a threat on my friend's lives."

Danny watched out of the corner of his eye as Sakura traced the damned letters on her arm and for the first time contemplated how much they'd have hurt. That part of the arm - the underneath - had really thin, sensitive skin. Yeah, that would hurt like hell. He knew, however, that that wasn't why Ash would have chosen the place. He'd have chosen it because it was the best place to hide it. Sakura wouldn't have been able to stroll around with 'NSF' carved into the skin on her... Neck or something; it'd raise too many questions. This way, it was hidden - it would serve it's purpose to remind Sakura, but not attract unwanted outside attention.
He chewed harder on his finger when Sakura shook her head; confirming that she had no idea how the heck 'never show fear' was good advice. Best to start from the beginning, he thought, but.. Where was the beginning? Danny frowned. He'd actually never thought about this before. Where had the god damned motto come from?
He tried to remember back to their childhood. He hadn't seen Ashley very often (something like one week every couple of months?) but he had known that his half-brother used to get bullied at the school he attended. Ashley often came home with bruises and the like. At first he had cried about it.. And then one day the tears just stopped - and he became distant. No more would he talk to Danny for no reason, and his emotions became a lot more.. Controlled. It was as if he'd decided that emotions were useless and he was giving them up for the rest of his life.
That had been around the time that Danny's 'demons' had had appeared, and Ashley always seemed to be around when they haunted him the most; leading to Danny avoiding him even more than normal. Contact between them.. Ceased from there on, until he was much older. He'd been fifteen, and looking for a place to stay. Ashley had been his only option, and when he'd turned up.. Ash was truly transformed.
Danny frowned. Where had it popped up? Nowhere. He hadn't heard of it before he moved in with Ashley - his half-brother had often rambled about it when drunk, and he'd seen his walls.. Maybe it was just something he'd made up himself? Danny struggled with the right words to describe it.
"I don't know where it comes from.." he started truthfully. "He's always been obsessed by it though. Beyond obsessed - he lives by it." How to explain it? Again, Danny struggled with the words to say. It was.. Complicated in the least. "He once said.. Something like.. "fearlessness is invincibility"?" Danny thought out loud, furrowing his brows and trying to remember the guy's exact words. "But no one can be fearless, I guess.. So the next best thing would be pretending to be fearless." There. He hoped that Sakura would understand. It was a hard concept to grasp.
"I guess it works in some ways.. I don't know what he's scared of. How can you upset a guy who fears nothing?" again, he was wondering out loud. Would he be able to get Ashley back? Revenge would be so, so nice - especially after what he'd done to Sakura. One of his best friends. Ash deserved vengeance.. But how? Danny had no idea what his fears were - he always seemed so emotionless, distant from everything, it was impossible to know - and fighting him head-on would definitely.. Not end well.
Danny's thoughts were interrupted when Sakura said that he'd let her go free. "He let you go?" he asked, suprise laced in his voice. Although.. Ash hadn't killed anyone before (not that he knew of, anyway) - he always ended just before and then left. But Sakura had been the one to leave? That was strange.
When he heard the 'threat' part of her sentence, it made sense. Of course. There had to be something - you couldn't just rape and assault a person, let them free and then just hope that they wouldn't tell the police.. Of course there was a threat. This worried Danny. Ashley didn't seem the kind of guy to make empty threats.
"It's okay. I'm sure he won't," Danny lied, reaching an arm out slowly and patting her reassuringly on the back for a moment before withdrawing. "No one is that heartless."

Sakura leaned more against the headboard of the bed as she looked over at Danny, chewing on her lip as she listened to what he had to say about the guy she had just had an unfortunate encounter with. She listened with wide eyes about how this guy was obsessed by the letters 'N', 'S' and 'F', and that he live by it for reasons that not even he could explain. It all seemed more complicated than she would have liked to think about.
He once said.. Something like.. ''fearlessness is invincibility''?'' The red head watched as he furrowed his brows, obviously trying to work out whether or not those were the exact words, or not. Either way, Sakura didn't really want to stay on this subject for any longer. The initials were always going to haunt her in her mind and the more time she spent away from dwelling on this encounter, the better she would feel in the long-run. However, she needed to know exactly what it meant so that it would also give her some peace of mind.
"I think I understand; but at the same time I'm confused, upset and angry, but mostly scared." The seventeen year old admitted, placing a hand on her forehead and leaning her head on her shoulder. "I think, maybe, it would be better if we stopped talking about this. I don't even want to know how and why you know all of this about him, but I'm sure you have a reasonable explanation that you will share with me at a later date, yes?" Bringing her hand up to rub her eyes, Sakura blew out a small breath and placed her gaze back on Danny.
He let you go?
"You.. sound surprised." Sakura mumbled, furrowing her own brow and moving so that she was sitting up a little straighter on the bed. However, when she mentioned the part about the thread, he seemed to relax in a sense and nod figuratively, as though he understood why Ashley had let her go. Attempting to make it all better, he spoke and then patted her arm.
Sakura flinched away from his touch, recoiling and then blinking at her own stupidness. "I'm sorry!" She half mumbled, half cried. No one is that heartless. The physical contact had made her jump, she almost fell off of the bed backwards, managing to gain a hold on the headboard and keeping herself there before opening her mouth to speak, again.
"I don't know, he seemed pretty intent on keeping up with that threat, Danny. It scared me more than everything else; and I'm sure that he would be the type of person to carry out a threat." Shifting her position and moving closer to Danny, she looked up at him with wide/scared eyes. "I think now's the best time to try out that new hair dye, stupid as it sounds. I just... well, I'm really scared of what he might do. Would you, please, help me?" She asked, moving even closer.

Danny chewed on his finger harder when Sakura's eyes grew wider at what he was saying. Way to go, he'd succeeded in making her even more scared than before. Ugh. Danny knew that he sucked at cheering people up.
He nodded understandingly when Sakura said that she mostly felt confused, upset and angry. He couldn't blame her; if the roles were reversed then he was sure he'd feel the exact same way as she did right now. "Yeah," Danny agreed, throat dry. Stopping talking about Ashley seemed like a great idea right now; it was just creeping Sakura out even more and making him feel as uncomfortable as hell.
Danny was still dreading when he'd have his lovely reunion with his half-brother. He was on the tour.. So it was inevitable. Even if Danny tried to avoid him, Ashley would end up searching for him eventually. When? He didn't know, and that made it even creepier. It was like waiting for the announcement of the date of your death sentence.
"Uh.." Danny opened his mouth but then closed it again, really not knowing what to say. What could he say? 'Oh yeah by the way, Sakura, he's my half brother'. God.. He didn't even want to picture her reaction right now. She'd fucking hate him. But.. What else could he say?.. Should he lie? Hopefully she wouldn't see Ashley again.. But then if she found out the truth after he had lied, everything would be so much worse. "Yeah," he nodded, the only word he could bring himself to say right now. At least Sakura was giving him until a 'later date' to figure out what the heck he was going to say to her. He was grateful for that much.
hah.
Danny chose not to comment on the 'you sound suprised'. It would only creep her out even more, and it just.. Wasn't worth it. "Sorrysorrysorry," he recoiled his hand quickly and chewed even harder on his finger. "My fault, don't be sorry," he said quickly. Damn, it was worse than he'd thought. He hoped to god she'd get over it in time. "I'm sure he wouldn't," he said eventually. Ashley... Probably would. If he found out. Would he find out? He was the type to keep tabs on people but.. If he believed that she was too scared to tell anyone then sometimes he didn't see it as necessary.
lieslieslies keep covering it up
"Sure thing. Of course," Danny forced a smile. "Only if you're sure, though. It's not necessary, you know.." he trailed off, knowing that once Sakura was set on something she wouldn't change her mind. "Come on, then," he flashed her another smile before sliding off the bed and strolling over to the bathroom. He rummaged through the cabinet and found the blonde hair dye that he could remember Sakura buying a while back, quickly skimming through the instructions on the back. It was.. Hard to imagine the red head as a blonde, but it'd look great he reasoned. She always looked great. "H-How do you want me to help?" he asked, figuring that he'd let Sakura lead. That would prevent him.. Freaking her out any more than he already had done.

Damn, she really needed to get better with this whole 'touching' thing, it had never bothered her before, so why should it bother her now? Oh, that's right. Him. Sakura was no longer used to people touching her; flinching whenver they came near her and refusing to let them touch her just encase they hurt her; which she knew, that they wouldn't. But.. it was all so confusing, she hated feeling this way. She knew that she could trust her friends, but there was a pyschological problem right there, maybe it would get better over time? Sakura truely hoped that it would.
Shaking her head when he said that he was the one that should be sorry, not her, Sakura was going to say something to him but thought better of it and instead stared off into space for a moment. Her arm was stinging, the skin tingling. It made her wince as a little as she shifted in her position, deciding that in order to make herself stop thinking about this Ashley guy, she needed to get something done. Something that would take her mind off of things and at the same time make her feel slightly better about going out in public..
Sure thing. Of course. Only if you're sure, though. It's not necessary, you know..
The red head nodded her head. Of course she was sure of it. She never made a decision without knowing that it was the best thing to do, and, of course, once she had her mind set on doing it; there was no way in hell that people were going to get her to change her mind.
Come on, then.
Smiling faintly, Sakura waited for a moment, watching as Danny slid off the bed and strolled over to the bathroom. For a few minutes she waited in the bedroom, looking at the wall and listening as he rummaged around in the bathroom cupboard. Once she was sure that he had found it, the red head slipped off of the bed and took tiny steps into the bathroom, grabbing an old towel from the bunk space as she did so.
"Maybe.. just help by getting the dye in my hair?" She asked, taking the box out of his hands and reaching in to take out the instructions and the plastic gloves. "I've.. never dyed my hair myself before, either Blake, Alec or Lexus has helped me." The red head - soon to be blonde, admitted, looking slightly sheepish as she unwrapped the gloves and removed the other parts from the box, handing him the gloves and setting to work on mixing the dye with the, uh, special formula thingy.

Danny stared at the packet. Then the formula stuff that Sakura was mixing. Then the instructions. Then the tap. Oh dearrr. Telling Sakura right now that he'd never dyed hair before probably wasn't a good idea. Oh well.. Following the instructions properly would probably mean less casualties.. Right?
"I've.. never dyed my hair myself before, either Blake, Alec or Lexus has helped me." Hehe, double ohdear. He prayed fervently to the God of Hair Dying that this whole thing would go smoothly. Sakura would kill him if he messed up her hair and accidentally.. Turned it green or something. Or made it patchy. Could blonde hair dye even go green?.. He hoped not.
"Uh.. Thanks," he said, taking the gloves from Sakura and snapping them on. They looked weird as hell and made him feel like a freakin' dentist. Danny stared at the instructions again. "Errr.. Hair needs to be wet first," he said, reaching over to the tap and turning it on. "..Right?" He was pretty sure it did. Was it even possible to dye dry hair? Maybe.
He watched as Sakura mixed the strange concotion from the box. "..Want me to do that?" he blinked and stole it off her - it seemed simple to do. He continued mixing the stuff like Sakura had been doing. "Whilst you.. Wet your hair?" he suggested, shrugging. "Need any help?" Danny hesitated. After the whole 'touching' incident from just moments ago, he was wary of moving too close to her in case he freaked her out again.
